We went to Morocco at their hottest part of the year, so we planned some stops where we could escape the heat. The five days we spent in Imlil and hiking the Atlas Mountains ended up being the most memorable part of our trip. We immersed ourselves in Berber culture and the Atlas Mountains when we went on a 3 day hiking trip. It was full of breathtaking views and strenuously long hiking days.

The end of August we ditched Europe for a few weeks and made our way to Africa. We ended up spending 3 weeks in Morocco, and we loved the change of scenery and culture! Our first post is about our time in Essaouira. Most tourists skip this city, but we enjoyed the cooler temperatures, the quieter city, and of course some relaxing time on the beach.
